About the Job 

  • The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for leading and ensuring the successful execution of the daily Housekeeping operation, including guestrooms, villas, turndown service, and public areas, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, productivity, and guest service. 

  • This position serves as the primary operational link between the Director of Housekeeping, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, the supervisory team, and related departments, ensuring consistent follow-up, effective communication, team development, and timely resolution of operational opportunities. 

  • The Housekeeping Manager will also assume full departmental leadership in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping, ensuring operational continuity, decision-making, and proper execution of luxury service standards, action plans, trainings, quality controls, and guest experience expectations aligned with Forbes and LQA standards.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supervise the daily operation of guestrooms, villas, turndown service, and public areas.  

  • Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards, including Forbes and LQA standards.  

  • Assume full responsibility for the department in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping.  

  • Lead and provide follow-up to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, supervisors, and operational team.  

  • Review daily occupancy, arrivals, departures, VIPs, events, and operational priorities.  

  • Monitor productivity, staffing, attendance, daily assignments, and operational coverage.  

  • Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, villas, turndown service, and public areas.  

  • Follow up on guest requests, service recovery opportunities, maintenance issues, and operational pending items.  

  • Coordinate operational communication with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, Villas, Guest Services, Spa, Security, and Food & Beverage departments.  

  • Support training, coaching, and development initiatives for the Housekeeping and Public Areas teams.  

  • Reinforce discipline, grooming standards, punctuality, service culture, and compliance with procedures.  

  • Implement and follow up on action plans resulting from audits, guest feedback, and internal inspections.  

  • Ensure proper follow-up on ALICE requests, maintenance reports, checklists, inventories, supplies, amenities, linens, chemicals, and operational equipment.  

  • Escalate critical situations to the Director of Housekeeping with root cause analysis, corrective actions taken, and next steps.  

  • Promote a positive, organized, accountable, and service-oriented work environment.  

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Housekeeping related to reports, controls, KPIs, budgets, inventories, and internal documentation.  

  • Address and follow up on guest comments or situations related to Housekeeping and Public Areas.  

  • Qualifications & Requirements 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Housekeeping management position.  

  • Intermediate English proficiency required.  

  • Luxury hospitality experience preferred.  

  • Knowledge of Forbes, LQA, or similar luxury service standards preferred.  

  • Strong leadership and operational team management skills.  

  • Experience managing daily operations, inventories, controls, and administrative follow-up.  

  • Strong focus on service excellence, quality, organization, and attention to detail.
