About the Job
The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the Resort during the overnight shift, ensuring the highest standards of service, safety, and operational efficiency are maintained at all times. This role serves as the senior leader on property overnight, acting as the primary point of contact for guests, colleagues, and emergency situations.
The Night Manager ensures smooth Front Office operations, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with all Resort policies and procedures. This position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, and the ability to handle guest concerns and operational challenges with confidence and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all hotel operations during the overnight shift.

Act as the Manager on Duty, assuming full responsibility for the property in the absence of Executive Leadership.

Ensure seamless check-in and check-out experiences for late arrivals and early departures.

Handle guest concerns, complaints, and emergency situations promptly and professionally, taking full ownership until resolution.

Supervise night Front Office and Night Audit colleagues to ensure adherence to luxury service standards.

Review and validate all Night Audit procedures, ensuring accuracy in daily financial reconciliation and reporting.

Monitor room availability, high balances, credit limits, and billing accuracy.

Conduct property walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.

Ensure compliance with security, health, and safety policies.

Coordinate with Security and Engineering teams regarding any incidents or overnight issues.

Prepare and distribute daily operational and financial reports for senior leadership.

Support emergency procedures and crisis management protocols when required.

Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments for a smooth transition to the morning team.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Front Office operations within a luxury hospitality environment.

Previous supervisory or managerial experience required.

Strong knowledge of Opera PMS (required).

Experience with Night Audit procedures and financial reconciliation processes.

Solid understanding of hotel accounting principles and reporting.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).

Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge of emergency procedures, crisis management, and safety standards.

High level of professionalism, leadership presence, and grooming standards.
