About the Job

The Night Assistant Security Manager, in conjunction with the Director of Security, is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the proper execution of all security procedures, protocols, and emergency response plans during the night shift across the property.

This role focuses on safeguarding guests, colleagues, facilities, and assets of the hotel and golf course during overnight operations, ensuring compliance with corporate standards. Additionally, this position leads the night security team, ensuring vigilance, discipline, and immediate response to any incident, while maintaining detailed control through logs, reports, and continuous monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the execution of all security policies, procedures, and corporate standards during the night shift.

Lead and coordinate the night security team, ensuring proper coverage and alertness at all posts.

Conduct frequent night patrols (recorridos) across the property, including guest areas, back-of-house, perimeter, beach, and golf course.

Ensure all patrols are properly documented in security logbooks (bitácoras), including observations, incidents, and corrective actions.

Monitor CCTV systems and ensure continuous surveillance of critical areas.

Review, document, and follow up on all incidents, ensuring proper reporting through GIRs and night reports.

Prepare and submit daily/nightly reports summarizing incidents, observations, and operational status.

Ensure all access control points are properly managed during overnight hours.

Respond immediately to emergencies, alarms, or unusual situations, coordinating with internal and external authorities if needed.

Maintain updated logs of key control, vehicle movement, visitor access, and any overnight activity.

Supervise Lost & Found procedures during the night shift.

Verify the condition and readiness of emergency equipment, first aid kits, and response tools.

Support investigations related to incidents occurring during the night.

Conduct night briefings (line-ups) to communicate risks, priorities, and updates to the team.

Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and emergency protocols at all times.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (degree or certification in Security, Criminal Justice, or Emergency Response preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Experience in night shift operations within hospitality or similar environments preferred.

Intermediate English (spoken and written).

Computer skills (reports, logs, CCTV systems).

Certification or knowledge as an Emergency Response Technician (preferred).
