About the Job 

  • The Safety & Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for leading and ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and loss prevention regulations within the property. In conjunction with senior leadership, this role oversees the implementation of legal and corporate standards, including Civil Protection requirements, emergency preparedness, and risk prevention strategies. 

  • This position safeguards guests, colleagues, assets, and operations by proactively identifying risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety, prevention, and accountability across all departments. 

About You 

  • You are a strategic and detail-oriented professional with strong expertise in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Loss Prevention. You have a solid understanding of local and federal regulations, including Civil Protection compliance, and the ability to translate these into effective operational practices. 

  • You are proactive in identifying risks, confident in advising senior leadership, and skilled at influencing teams across all levels. You lead with integrity, maintain high standards, and are passionate about creating a safe and compliant work environment. You are organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring excellence in execution. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensure full compliance with local, federal, and corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, including Civil Protection requirements.  

  • Act as the primary liaison with government authorities, inspectors, and regulatory entities.  

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and loss prevention programs across the property.  

  • Proactively identify health, safety, and welfare risks, implementing corrective and preventive actions.  

  • Monitor and anticipate changes in legal and regulatory requirements, adapting internal policies, training, and procedures accordingly.  

  • Lead the development and delivery of health, hygiene, and safety training programs in collaboration with the Learning & Development Department.  

  • Ensure all departments are fully trained and compliant with safety procedures and emergency protocols.  

  • Oversee emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation, fire response, search and rescue, and crisis management.  

  • Ensure all HSE equipment and PPE are available, properly maintained, and compliant with regulations.  

  • Provide expert guidance and advisory support to senior leadership on all matters related to Health & Safety and Loss Prevention.  

  • Work closely with department heads to assess risks, identify gaps, and implement tailored safety solutions.  

  • Lead or support incident investigations (accidents, injuries, theft, damages), ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.  

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and record-keeping for audits and compliance purposes.  

  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, inspections, and performance monitoring of safety programs.  

  • Promote a strong safety culture across the organization through communication, engagement, and leadership.  

  • Participate actively in the Safety & Hygiene Committee and ensure follow-up on action plans.  

  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.  

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Law, or related field.  

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Health & Safety, Loss Prevention, or similar roles, preferably in hospitality or large-scale operations.  

  • Strong knowledge of:  

  • Local and federal safety regulations  

  • Civil Protection compliance and inspections  

  • Emergency response and crisis management  

  • Occupational health and safety standards  

  • Risk assessment and hazard identification  

  • Certifications in Health & Safety, Civil Protection, or Emergency Response (preferred).  

  • Intermediate to advanced English (spoken and written).  

  • Strong computer skills (reporting systems, audits, documentation).
