About the Job
The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising all stewarding area activities, ensuring that kitchens, equipment, and operational areas are kept in optimal conditions of hygiene, cleanliness, and order, in accordance with hotel and corporate standards.
Supervises the staff on their assigned shift, organizes workloads, and follows up on operational pending tasks in coordination with other supervisors. Ensures that all kitchens and food & beverage outlets have the necessary operational equipment, while controlling proper usage and expenditure of cleaning supplies.
Responsible for verifying the correct operation of kitchen equipment (dishwashing machines, stoves, ovens, grills, among others), and promptly reporting any failures that may affect operations to the Maintenance department. Coordinates with the Chief Steward on the replenishment and control of china, glassware, flatware, and other operational utensils.
During events and banquets, reviews service orders and coordinates with the Banquet Chef on buffet set-ups in accordance with established requirements. Participates in BEO meetings and pre-convention meetings when required.

We are looking for an organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual with a strong culture of cleanliness and hygiene. You should demonstrate leadership skills, the ability to work under pressure, and the capability to coordinate work teams in a demanding operational environment.
You are proactive, have strong people-management skills, are results-oriented, and show a high level of commitment to quality and service standards.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate, supervise, and organize the stewarding team during the assigned shift.

Ensure that all areas under responsibility maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Supervise compliance with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning programs through checklists.

Control and monitor the proper use of cleaning supplies, preventing waste and shrinkage.

Place weekly supply orders in accordance with the authorized budget.

Verify the proper functioning of kitchen operational equipment and follow up on maintenance work orders.

Provide ongoing training to the team to improve efficiency and operational performance.

Participate in periodic inventories of china, glassware, flatware, and other equipment, reporting results to the Chief Steward.

Ensure staff report to work on time, properly uniformed, and in compliance with personal hygiene standards.

Promote a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with the hotel’s culture.

Handle staff-related issues and escalate cases as necessary to the Chief Steward.
Requirements

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in supervisory positions within stewarding, kitchen, or Food & Beverage areas.

Knowledge of hygiene, cleanliness standards, and kitchen equipment handling.

Ability to supervise and train operational staff.

Basic knowledge of inventory and budget control.

Availability to work rotating shifts and weekends.

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
