Job Summary
The Mini-Bar Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all guest room mini-bars are fully stocked, clean, and organized, providing guests with a convenient and enjoyable in-room dining experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Regularly check and restock mini-bars in guest rooms according to par levels and replenish items as needed.
- Conduct daily inventory audits of mini-bar items in each room to ensure accurate billing and stock levels. Record consumption and generate restocking lists.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the mini-bar areas in guest rooms, ensuring items are fresh, undamaged, and correctly displayed.
- Monitor expiration dates and rotate items to maintain freshness. Report any low stock or expired items to management.
- Work closely with housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service.
- Take customer orders and deliver food and beverages
- Answer any menu questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverages, daily specials, retail, on-going promotions, etc.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
- Follow the standard sequence of service as per outlet SOP
- Actively upsell at all opportunities to help increase the average check
- Anticipate guests needs and to react to these in order to provide maximum guests satisfaction and to promote guest relations
- Assist in other areas as required for the operation.
- Stock up all workstations and ensure they are operationally ready
- Clear all soiled dishes from workstations
- Demonstrate teamwork by co-operating and assisting colleagues as needed
- Adhere to all cash handling policies and procedures
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Be aware of cybercrime and common scams as communicated by the Kerzner Global IT team, filter and detect these attempts, and ensure that guest and company safety is protected.
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time
3. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Fluent in English written and spoken, local language an advantage.
- Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant
- International experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Committed to and passionate about the Food and Beverage industry
- Willing to work flexible hours
