About the role
Attendant, Public Area - Seasonal, will service the hotel public spaces to the highest standard, through smart and neat appearance, which reflects the high standards of SIRO Boka Place. A warm genuine smile which shows a personal interest in each Guest and a genuine eagerness to be of service at any time.
Attendant, Public Area - Seasonal, is a prompt, courteous, well prepared and organized, discreet, honest, trusting rind trustworthy, friendly but not familiar, reliable, low key, immaculate, professional, flexible, punctual, knowledgeable, well mannered, professional committed to the highest standards of service. PA Attendant is a professional who anticipates needs and efficiently complete all the tasks. PA Attendants maintain guest’s privacy and confidentiality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all interactions with guests are in a professional and polite manner.
- Can answer the guest’s questions about the generic hotel services and facilities.
- Ensure proper use and care of equipment.
- Operate automated machines for cleaning public surfaces.
- Follow hotel's Lost and Found procedures diligently, ensuring all found items are documented, stored securely, and reported to management.
- Immediately report any valuable items, documents, or sensitive materials found in guest rooms or public areas to the Team Leader Housekeeping, Assistant Manager Housekeeping or Executive Houskeeper
- Clean and inspect all facilities, furniture and fixtures and reports any damage to the Team Leader for action and follow-up.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all public restrooms.
- Clean all the personnel changing rooms and other personnel premises as required.
- Before leaving, collect all trash from the service landings and take to/dispose in trash dumpsters, per company procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.
- Undertake the day-to-day cleaning of the hotel facilities and outdoor areas ensuring service standards are followed.
- Ensure the trash bins are emptied on a daily basis.
- Ensure all guest restrooms and staff toilets are cleaned and set up every 1 hour.
- Perform deep cleaning of different areas as per annual or project schedule established in the property.
- Be familiar with correct apartment cleaning procedures to assist if needed.
- Vacuum, dust, polish guest corridors, elevator landings, entrances, all surfaces in the building
- Keep control of supplies stock, cleaning material, battery recharge.
- Ensure supplies, amenities, linens, are replenished as per standard.
- Always keep work areas neat and tidy and stocked according to the levels required.
- Keep pantry neat and in good order.
- The ability to maintain hygienic & safe work practices.
- The ability to take ownership in assigned area of preventative maintenance programs and ensure the work and cleanliness is to the highest possible standards and that it is completed in a timely manner.
- Follow up diligently to ensure these issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner to maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Assist in new colleague job skill training as and when requested by the superiors.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.
- Report anything not functioning properly, broken, stolen or anything related to the Housekeeping Team Leader.
- Report incidents and guest complains to Team Leader Housekeeping, Assistant Manager Housekeeping or Executive Houskeeper.
- Ensure that the task provided daily are executed to the expectation of SIRO Boka Place standard.
- Attend and participate in team events.
- Participate in required training and briefings related to the job.
- Effectively communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleagues at all levels.
- Be motivated to ensure transfer of knowledge and promote a continuously positive work environment.
- Always assure professional attitude towards guest and colleagues.
- Ensure to always meet Grooming and Hygiene policy of SIRO Boka Place when in uniform.
- Be flexible in the job role, assist in other tasks in the department, Hotel and Private Homes when requested by Executive Houskeeper, Assistant Manager Housekeeping and Team Leader Housekeeping.
- Be aware of cybercrime and common scams as communicated by the Kerzner Global IT team, filter and detect these attempts, and ensure that guest and company safety is protected.
Skills, experience & educational requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferably Be Fluent in Spoken English, any other foreign language is a plus factor
- Must be skilled to perform the job of a Housekeeping Attendant.
- Must have minimum 2 years job experience in a five star or higher category hotel.
