Job Summary

The Laundry Driver is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the laundry vehicle, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of linens from various client facilities. Key functions include managing trolleys and cages within the vehicle, adhering to all vehicle safety regulations, and reporting any incidents or issues. Safe and compliant driving is essential to avoid complaints or incidents.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver laundry to and from the hotel and external laundry facilities.
• Follow directions from superiors regarding delivery and collection schedules and locations.
• Report any incidents promptly to the superior.
• Handle the vehicle’s hydraulic systems as needed for loading and unloading.
• Schedule the vehicle for regular servicing and report any preventive maintenance needs to the Laundry Manager.
• Operate and maintain the laundry vehicle, ensuring both the interior and exterior are clean. The driver is responsible for cleaning the inside of the vehicle, including the dashboard and driver seat, ensuring no eatables or garbage are left inside.
• Collaborate with the laundry cleaner for the cleaning of the vehicle’s exterior.
• Follow all traffic and driving laws of Montenegro to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle, including always carrying a valid driver’s license and vehicle documentation.
• Drive slowly and carefully, especially when carrying clothes, to avoid spoiling the finishing of the linens.
• Be responsible for the proper management of trolleys and cages within the vehicle.
• Report any incidents or accidents immediately and comply with legal requirements in case of an accident, being held responsible as per the law of Montenegro.
• Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and timesheet and vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the use of seat belts and adherence to speed limits.
• Keep accurate records of fuel usage and submit all fuel receipts and details to the laundry management office.
• Assist in transporting laundry attendants when required by the Team Leader Laundry, Assistant Manager Laundry, or Laundry Manager.
• Be prepared to handle additional duties related to commercial laundry operations as needed.
• Ensure all legal and company-specific requirements for commercial laundry transportation are met, including vehicle load limits and hygiene standards.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively when interacting with clients and other staff member.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections and timeline to uphold quality standards and address any deviations promptly.
• Assist in other tasks in the department & hotel when requested by the Assistant Manager or Laundry Manager.
• Engage in mandatory job-specific training sessions and actively participate in team events to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility in shift schedules, adapting to fluctuating business demands and operational needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluent in the local language, spoken & written English, any other foreign language is a plus factor
• Must be skilled to perform the job of a Laundry Driver, along with valid MNE driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must have a minimum of 2 years job experience in a Driving vehicle of 3 ton or higher capacity.
