Job Summary
To interact with guests and members and ensure that the highest standards of group exercise classes, personal training and services are adhered to at all times and that guest and member experience exceeds expectation. To promote the overall philosophy and services working together with our guests and members to unlock and achieve their goals. Curating a journey dedicated to a guest’s needs, delivering not only rewarding experiences in the short term but also long-lasting, sustainable success to reinforce the reputation and profile of SIRO for providing an immersive lifestyle destination.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure high standards of professionalism, customer service, and optimum financial performance.
- Meet, greet, and acknowledge every guest and member who are using the facilities and services.
- Conduct high-quality inductions and health profiles.
- Support with the planning and delivery of existing/new class initiatives.
- Ensure the Group Exercise Timetable is correctly updated and adjusted accordingly when changes are made.
- Maintain tracking of Group Exercise class utilization.
- Prescribe high-quality programs based on goals and results of the client.
- Offer advice and ensure safe training techniques to guests and members.
- Promote and offer internal/external programs and services.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the fitness areas.
- Ensure that the facility is fully functional during all operational hours.
- Report any faults immediately.
- Enforce fitness/gym rules.
- Be aware of the fitness budgets and targets on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Actively contribute to reaching the department's financial targets.
- To show initiative when dealing with guest complaints and make such decisions, that achieve instant
- guest satisfaction whenever possible.
- To ensure that all fitness facilities reports and correspondence are completed punctually and accurately.
- To oversee and work together with external services companies as applicable.
- To comply with all requests of Hotel Management.
- To participate in a daily Fitness briefing and a weekly departmental meeting as applicable.
- Stays updated with developments in the Fitness / Wellness Industry.
- To be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.
- Ensures that channels of communication are respected and information is disseminated to the correct
- receivers.
- Ensure that the company standards are being upheld as outlined.
- Attends all training carried out by the Training Department.
- Practices proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort’s guests.
- Ensures excellent communication and working relationships with colleagues are maintained and
- contribute to the team spirit.
- Exhibits knowledge of the hotel and local culture.
- Knows and applies resort’s Policies & Procedures, including those for the emergency situations.
- Ensures that all tasks assigned by superiors are completed, in a timely fashion.
- Should be in abidance with the expectations defined in the job responsibilities.
- Individual productivity, work efficiency.
- Attends training or those required by external partners as applicable.
- Ensure that each new member of the club is put through the New Member Journey and that all club staff follows through on their responsibilities to provide on-going support.
- Create and develop innovative classes and programs that support the Fitness brand and monitor attendance.
- It is an essential requirement for the role that the colleague actively contributes to reaching the financial targets by selling and conducting personal training sessions.
- Maintain records for paying personal training clients.
- Develops and maintains team morale.
3. EDUCATION, SKILLS & Experience
- Fluent in English written and spoken, other languages a distinctive advantage
- Degree in Spots & science or related field (National personal training certification (REP’s level A equivalent)
- Internationally recognized, instructor-led instructor’s certificate
- Ability to act as a role model to clients through own athletic body shape / aspirational
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a fitness professional
- To have an outstanding customer service skills and a welcoming and sociable personality
- Attention to detail and aptitude to maintain a very hygienic environment.
- Strong skills in administration.
- Strong ability to coach and motivate individuals to achieve their goals, build clientele,
- Flexible schedule, available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
