About the Role
The Manager, Human Resources reports directly to the property General Manager with a dotted-line functional reporting relationship to the VP, Global Human Resources and serves as an integral member of the resort's executive committee. This position contributes a high level of human resource generalist knowledge and expertise for a designated property within Kerzner International's ultra-luxury hospitality portfolio including Atlantis, One&Only, SIRO, and Rare Finds brands worldwide.
The role is accountable for talent acquisition, succession and workforce planning, performance management and development for property employees, using technology efficiently, and coaching and developing others to help influence and execute business objectives in the most efficient manner. The position works with considerable independence, developing processes to accomplish objectives in alignment with broader business objectives while utilizing a Human Resource Business Plan aligned with property and brand strategies to deliver HR services that enable business success.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Execute and follow-up on engagement survey related activities ensuring action plans address colleague feedback

Champion and build talent management ranks in support of property and region diversity strategy
 - 
Translate business priorities into property Human Resources strategies, plans and actions aligned with operational goals
 - 
Implement and sustain Human Resources initiatives at the property ensuring consistency with brand standards
 - 
Coordinate human capital review process at property and lead succession planning activities on property and in market
 - 
Lead assessment of property leadership pipeline through human capital review process and assist with follow-up actions
 - 
Create value through proactive approaches that affect performance outcomes or control costs
 - 
Monitor effective use of HR workflow system by property managers and employees ensuring compliance
 - 
Lead and participate in succession management and workforce planning to strengthen talent pipeline
 - 
Serve as key change manager for initiatives that have high employee impact ensuring smooth implementation
 - 
Attend owners meetings as member of property executive committee and provide context to Human Resources results
 - 
Supervise one or more on-property Human Resources staff as well as market-based HR Specialist resources where appropriate
 - 
Ensure payroll execution in line with approved budget and compliance with related Payroll policies and procedures
 - 
Analyze open positions to balance development of existing talent and business needs while optimizing staffing
 - 
Serve as coach and expert facilitator of selection and interviewing process ensuring quality hiring decisions
 - 
Surface opportunities in work processes and staffing optimization to improve operational efficiency
 - 
Make staffing decisions to manage talent cadre and pipeline at property ensuring appropriate skill mix
 - 
Develop staffing strategy in collaboration with hiring managers relating to hiring practices and compensation decisions
 - 
Monitor sourcing process and outcomes of staffing process ensuring effectiveness of recruitment channels
 - 
Ensure managers are competent in assessing and evaluating hourly staff through training and guidance
 - 
Remain current and knowledgeable in internal and external compensation and work competitive environments
 - 
Lead planning of hourly employee total compensation strategy ensuring market competitiveness
 - 
Champion communication and proper use of total compensation systems, tools, programs, and policies
 - 
Participate in quarterly internal equity analysis and review internal equity reports to surface issues needing resolution
 - 
Create and implement total compensation management packages and offers including recognition and incentive programs
 - 
Ensure completion of duties and responsibilities of properties' Human Resources staff members per job descriptions
 - 
Ensure property Human Resources staff is properly trained in all employee-related human resource information
 - 
Serve as resource to property Human Resources staff on employee relations questions and issues
 - 
Continually reinforce positive employee relations concepts across the property
 
Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements
- 
Minimum 5 years senior HR experience in luxury hospitality environment required
 - 
Background in 5-star hotels or luxury resorts essential with understanding of ultra-luxury service standards
 - 
Recognized tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field required
 - 
Good all-round knowledge of Human Resource functions and administration across full employee lifecycle
 - 
Ability to design, structure and implement new Human Resources SOPs and improve existing processes
 - 
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and ownership groups
 - 
Outgoing and positive personality with ability to build strong relationships across all organizational levels
 - 
Good understanding of multi-cultural environments and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
 - 
Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
 - 
Experience with HRIS systems and payroll administration processes
 - 
Proven ability to manage employee relations matters and resolve conflicts effectively
 - 
Strong coaching and mentoring skills with ability to develop HR team members
 - 
Understanding of talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning methodologies
 - 
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with property leadership and corporate HR
