About the role

 

The Nutritionist is responsible for providing expert dietary guidance to guests, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. This role involves assessing guests' nutritional needs, developing personalized meal plans, and collaborating with the culinary team to ensure that the hotel’s dining offerings meet nutritional standards. The Nutritionist will also lead wellness workshops and offer one-on-one consultations to enhance the overall guest experience. You will support the team to drive innovation and creativity, allowing us to develop breakthrough innovations and next-generation nutrition solutions.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

Guest Consultations:

  • Conduct one-on-one consultations with guests to assess dietary needs, preferences, and health goals.
  • Develop personalized nutrition plans that align with guests’ fitness programs, health conditions, and wellness objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to guests, adjusting nutrition plans as needed.

Meal Planning and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design nutritious menus that cater to various dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly).
  • Ensure that all meals offered in the hotel’s restaurants and room service adhere to nutritional guidelines.
  • Review and approve dietary information on menus, ensuring accuracy in calorie counts and ingredient lists.

Education and Workshops:

  • Lead nutrition workshops, seminars, and cooking demonstrations for guests, covering topics such as healthy eating, weight management, and lifestyle changes.
  • Develop educational materials, including handouts and online content, to support guests’ learning and engagement.

Health and Wellness Promotion:

  • Stay informed about the latest research in nutrition and wellness, integrating new findings into guest programs.
  • Work with the fitness team to ensure that nutrition plans complement guests’ exercise routines and overall wellness programs.
  • Promote the hotel’s wellness offerings through guest interaction, social media, and other marketing channels.

Operational Support:

  • Oversee/support floor operations, staff coordination and guest flow and experience.
  • Support fitness, recovery and front desk teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in implementing Destination Fitness and new initiatives, classes and wellness programs.
  • Handle operational escalations professionally in the absence of senior leadership.

Compliance and Record-Keeping:

  • Ensure all nutritional advice complies with local regulations and dietary guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest consultations, meal plans, and progress, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection laws.

 

Experience, skilss & educational requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nutritionist, preferably in a luxury hotel, spa, or wellness center.
  • Experience in developing personalized nutrition plans and working with diverse populations
  • Fluent in English written and spoken, with local language an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hotel revenue management experience required. 5 years preferred. 
  • College degree (BS/BA) preferred. 
  • Must be able to guide, direct, and deploy Rooms revenue strategies with minimal direction. 
  • Experience in Hotel Revenue Management. 
  • Must be able to guide, direct, and deploy F&B and Wellness revenue strategies with minimal direction. 
  • Skilled in analysis, problem solving and decision making.  
  • Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data. 
  • Business Analytics knowledge is a plus. 
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills in English (additional languages valued)  
  • Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.  
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations, namely with senior stakeholders.
