2. Job Details & Requirements
Job Summary
To have excellent customer service skills and make every one of our guests feel comfortable and special. You'll be able to deliver exceptional result-focused treatments. Ensure that the Recovery Lab is well maintained, clean, and presentable and able to operate the business aspects of a spa environment such as reception and stock control. To promote the overall philosophy and services of the Recovery Lab with specialist expertise and targeted treatments to reinforce the reputation and profile of SIRO for providing an immersive lifestyle destination.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Client Assessment & Consultation
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of guests' physical conditions, including range of motion, posture, muscle strength, and mobility limitations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that align with guests’ recovery and wellness goals.
Therapeutic & Manual Treatments
- Deliver a variety of hands-on therapies, such as soft tissue mobilization, joint manipulation, and other manual therapy techniques to relieve pain and restore function.
- Use therapeutic modalities such as dry needling, ultrasound, and electrotherapy to complement hands-on treatments as appropriate.
Exercise Prescription & Rehabilitation Programs
- Design and guide clients through tailored exercise routines focused on improving strength, flexibility, and endurance for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
- Monitor clients’ adherence to exercise programs, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal progress.
Education & Empowerment
- Educate clients on self-care practices, posture correction, injury prevention strategies, and ergonomic adjustments to enhance daily physical well-being.
- Provide practical advice on lifestyle modifications, including stretching, mobility exercises, and self-massage techniques for sustained results.
Collaborative Care
- Coordinate with other members of the recovery team, including trainers, spa therapists, and nutritionists, to ensure a holistic approach to guests’ health.
- Participate in recovery team meetings to discuss client progress and adapt treatment plans based on feedback from the interdisciplinary team.
Documentation & Progress Tracking
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and session notes in the hotel’s client management system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Track client progress, documenting improvements and updating treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Professional Development & Compliance
- Engage in continuous professional development by attending relevant workshops, courses, and seminars to stay updated with advancements in physiotherapy.
- Adhere to all professional and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with local laws and hotel policies on safety and client confidentiality.
Enhancing Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for clients, demonstrating empathy, attentiveness, and responsiveness to their needs.
- Gather and respond to client feedback to continually improve service quality and guest satisfaction.
Guest Interaction:
- To assist the Recovery Manager with responsibilities for the management and performance of the Recover Lab, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service, and optimum financial performance.
- Present a professional appearance and always attitude and maintain an excellent standard of customer service.
- Ensure client experience is proficient including bookings and consultation cards
- Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and program improvement
- Ensure customers and guests receive friendly and consistent personalized service from all team members
- Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved
- Ensure health, safety, and COSHH regulations are complied with
- Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties, within reason, as requested by your manager according to the training you have been given.
- Perform other requested duties related to work
- Be motivated to ensure the transfer of know-how and a continuous positive work environment
- Monitor own and department performance and provide formal and informal feedback and appraisal to maximize efficiency
- Follow all relevant Division policies, processes, and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Develops and maintains team morale.
3. EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Fluent in English written and spoken, and other languages a distinctive advantage
- Licensed Physiotherapist
- Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience and working in a Spa environment
- To present a professional and polished appearance.
- Developing innovative retail merchandising and selection of products.
- Flexible schedule, available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
