2.   Job Details & Requirements

Job Summary

To have excellent customer service skills and have the ability to make each and every one of our guests feel comfortable and special. You'll be able to deliver exceptional result focused treatments.  Ensure that the Recovery Lab is well maintained, clean, and presentable and able to operate the business aspects of a spa environment such as reception and stock control. To promote the overall philosophy and services of the Recovery Lab with specialist expertise and targeted treatments in order to reinforce the reputation and profile of SIRO for providing an immersive lifestyle destination. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Therapeutic Treatments:

  • Perform a variety of massage therapies, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and other specialized techniques as required.
  • Provide body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, ensuring each session is tailored to the guest’s needs and preferences.
  • Deliver holistic therapies, including aromatherapy, reflexology, and other wellness practices, in line with the hotel’s offerings.

Guest Interaction:

  • Conduct consultations with guests to assess their health concerns and preferences, recommending appropriate treatments.
  • Ensure all guests receive a personalized experience, offering advice on post-treatment care and ongoing wellness.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner at all times, fostering a relaxing atmosphere.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring that all treatment rooms, equipment, and products are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Keep accurate records of treatments provided, including any special guest requests or concerns.
  • Participate in regular training and certifications to stay updated on the latest wellness trends and safety protocols.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Work closely with other spa and wellness team members to create comprehensive wellness programs and special packages.
  • Assist in promoting the spa’s services, contributing to marketing efforts, and participating in events designed to attract new guests.
  • Provide feedback to the Spa Manager on guest preferences and trends, helping to enhance the spa’s offerings.

 

  • To assist the Recovery Manager with responsibilities for the management and performance of the Recover Lab, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service, and optimum financial performance. 
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain an excellent standard of customer service. 
  • Manage and carry out procedures, have current knowledge of treatments, and ensure all treatments comply with current legislation and company standards 
  • Ensure client experience is proficient including bookings and consultation cards 
  • Manage customer feedback effectively to ensure continuous service and program improvement 
  • Ensure customers and guests receive friendly and consistent personalized service from all team members 
  • Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved 
  • Ensure health, safety, and COSHH regulations are complied with  
  • Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties, within reason, as requested by your manager according to the training you have been given. 
  • Perform other requested duties related to work 
  • Be motivated to ensure the transfer of know-how and a continuous positive work environment 
  • Monitor own and department performance and provide formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximize efficiency 
  • Follow all relevant Division policies, processes, and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner 
  • Develops and maintains team morale. 

 

3.   EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Fluent in English written and spoken, and other languages a distinctive advantage 
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience and working in a Spa environment 
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of the skin / skincare and body treatments  
  • Previous experience working as a beauty therapist essential  
  • A keen interest in aesthetic treatments as well as beauty treatments 
  • To present a professional and polished appearance.    
  • Developing innovative retail merchandising and selection of products. 
  • Flexible schedule, available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
