Job Summary

Lead the laundry service at our upscale establishment, ensuring impeccable care and service for guests' high-end clothing and delicate fabrics. Supervise and inspire a dedicated team of laundry attendants to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, precision, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with hotel management and front desk teams to deliver a seamless and luxurious laundry experience that exceeds expectations, particularly for high-end customers and designer clothing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laundry operations to ensure the timely and accurate processing of guests' high-end and delicate garments, as well as managing commercial laundry services.
• Coordinate workflow to meet service delivery schedules and guests' requirements, ensuring the careful handling of designer and luxury clothing.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of laundry supplies and chemicals to laundry service.
• Manage manpower balance in the commercial laundry unit and monitor workflow.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures for valet laundry services, emphasizing delicate and high-end garment care.
• Supervise the maintenance and repair of laundry equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Conduct daily briefings to update the team on daily workflow, prioritize operational challenges, and assign tasks.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel or external vendors for regular servicing and urgent repairs of valet laundry equipment.
• Train new laundry attendants on task assignment procedures, cleanliness standards, and guest service expectations specific to high-end and delicate clothing.
• Assist in scheduling shifts and handle day off requests of team members, ensuring fair and balanced coverage.
• Conduct performance reviews for assigned colleagues and provide coaching and corrective performance discussions as needed.
• Train staff on the usage of laundry software programs and ensure proficiency among team members.
• Provide support and assistance to attendants as needed, especially during busy periods or when handling challenging tasks.
• Be available during the finishing process of high-end and designer garments to ensure quality and attention to detail.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including proper use and care of cleaning agents, equipment, and machines, to maintain a safe and efficient valet laundry operation.
• Ensure the Lost and Found procedure is always adhered to.

• Maintain records of all received laundry and garment items, along with other required paperwork, to ensure precise inventory management and prevent any discrepancies.
• Maintain strong relationships with hotel and private home guests, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections to uphold quality standards and address any deviations promptly.
• Assist in other tasks in the department & hotel when requested by the Assistant Manager or Laundry Manager.
• Engage in mandatory job-specific training sessions and actively participate in team events to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility in shift schedules, adapting to fluctuating business demands and operational needs.

• Must hold a Diploma in Hospitality management or have extensive experience in high-end designer clothing and valet laundry.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; proficiency in any additional foreign languages is a plus.
• Must be skilled in performing the role of Team Leader, with experience managing a team of 20 or more staff.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a premier laundry, preferably in a Team Leader or equivalent role.
